I would like to start my blog entering to you some great guys I've meeted receantly: Vintage rock band (http://www.myspace.com/vintagebandaderock) They're trying to grow in the spanish musical environtment. They needed some photos and they call me to do it. They just had some photos from other photographers, but they want me to put themselves into they're photos: they need to be themselves, not just some posing people in front of a camera.
I was thinking about it some time and after some telephonic calls I started searching some localizations. It wasn't easy, I need the localizations to be the more versatile I can and the more simple I can to leave the possibility to put some objects they want in the photos but still have the importance the localizations need. It's hard to explain. After a week I had my localizations and get in touch with my friends and we arrange a date. When the big day comes out it was horrible: I couldn't believe it, it was snowing again in Madrid!! Fuck!!! Al my localizations were outside and it's not very nice to take photos with -2 oC and snowing over you. I tried to change the date, but my friends neeed the photos now. And I made my second mistake of the post: I accepted!! Well there was a house and some places around to eat, the house After the show I went home and worked the photos in photoshop. A bit here and a bit there and they are ready to print. They have told me that they are really happy about my work and I appreciate it, but they have to be conscious: it was not only my work but their's, they made the atmosphere to make it happend!!!

Well it was a hard work, but nobody said it was easy :-) First of all we needed a meeting point to talk about their needes: a pub. Once in the pub I committed a horrible mistake and asked them to tell me what ideas they had in their minds and how they want them to be maded. Then it all came out: each one had a great idea and everyone wanted it in the photographs. It was chaotic, but at least I had something of them to work on. I writted all the ideas, drinked my beer, and go home thinking how I was going to made it...
it's Pedro's house (Vintage vocals) and it was plenty of vintage things: TV, Radios, Sofas, typewriters... a warehouse of Vintage things!! Unexpectedly it was inspiring, but not only for me. They all find the inspiration in the vintage objects (how couldn't we knew that before?) and started to create an atmosphere creative and great. They started to pick up objects and put them over their head, in front of their face, anywhere... It was crazy, but it was borned just into themselves. THAT was what we need. After all creativity is borned anywhere, and it doesn't mind how but you can find it at any moment.
